This was a surprise--I thought I had just won the magazine during Quiltmaker's 100 Block Blog Hop, but a whole package of goodies arrived in the mail--fun!! |
Most of my sewing this week has been getting the ThimbleCreek Mystery four patches sewn into strips and then sewn onto the blocks. |
And here is my candidate for my December UFO finish. I divided up my swap blocks and got this put together in early November. I think I will just quilt an all over design on it. You can see behind this top that I'm testing out some ideas for the rest of the swap blocks (as well as a few other projects--like those four patch strips--lol!). ReplyDeleteHow lucky to have won lots of goodies as well as the magazine. I know you will put them to good use! I love your blocks for the Thimble Creek quilt.... looking forward to seeing that one put together! Hope you get your December UFO quilted, it looks lovely! Christine x
ReplyDeleteLovely goodies! It's always nice to get a surprise in the mail. I like the blocks for your Thimble Creek quilt. I think I need to explore text prints and try out grays as backgrounds. Adding to my list... Love what' you have done with those pretty swap blocks too. Isn't it cool how putting some blocks on point can make them look like a new block?
ReplyDeleteIt's nice to get a box of surprises. I like your setting for your UFO. Your four patches look good with your Halloween mystery blocks. I thought I had counted wrong when I had to make more patches. It has hard to go back and make more.
ReplyDeleteLove the ThimbleCreek Mystery blocks. Can't wait to see the completed project.
ReplyDeleteNice work on those blocks!
ReplyDeleteWhat an even better surprise to get all those goodies--Congrats! And I really do love your pinwheel block. Such a fun surprise to see the striped pin inside the block. Very pretty.

ReplyDeleteCongratulations on the goodies! Both these quilts are going to be gorgeous Karen, but I especially love the little squares to go around all your blocks- hope you don't have to make too many more though!
