I meant to take photos of my June finish yesterday. By the time I got around to it, the rains came. Thankfully, today is very sunny!

| The colors look truer in the shade.I may go back and do the continuous curve in the four patches--I didn't do it originally because I couldn't decide on a thread color. Maybe I should just use the same tan (Signature Mother Goose)? |

It feels good to use up some of that older stuff! |

| The plan was to use a cheddar print for the binding, but I have become a cheddar fabric hoarder now, and couldn't bring myself to use it. It's probably for the best, since this old chunk of blue works great with the backing, and it was fun to use it on the bias. |

ReplyDeleteYour 4 patch is a great finish. The curved quilting balances the straight lines of the pieces. Nice choice. It does feel good to use something older from the stash, but the pile never seems to diminish. What's with that? :0)

It is a wonderful finish! I love how all those pretty fabrics stand out against the background (great choice!) and the quilting makes it very special, love it when quilting makes its own, new pattern in a quilt.

ReplyDeleteLove this quilt and how you are quilting it. As for being a cheddar hoarder, I've been thinking about starting a collection of cheddars (I'm sure I already have several in my stash). It is funny how we fall in love with a fabric, buy it with the view to using it but it is just too beautiful to cut into!
