So many of the quilts I have made were designed or inspired by Pat Sloan.
I will have to do a post on those soon!
This one is a favorite:
I Believe by Pat Sloan from the book Folksy Favorites. The quilt was finished in 2010, measures 66" x 85" There's that Thimbleberries holly toile again!! I did a little switcheroo on the bottom right corner block by adapting a design from Pat's book Quilt the Seasons to make the bottom right corner block. |
There are lots of embellishments on the quilt: button eyes and rick rack icing. |
I love the cardinal--so cute! I think this block would make a cute wall hanging. |
Yoyos on the tree--yep--more holly toile. |
Rick rack stems on the peppermints and candy canes block. |
Oh just so precious! I love that yo-yoed tree! The whole quilt is wonderful! Hugs, Julierose
ReplyDeletePat brought this quilt in two color ways for us to see when I took a class from her last summer. Both were stunning to see in person. Yours is just as stunning! Thanks for showing!
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet quilt. I bet it was fun to make.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great quilt! I'm enjoying all of these posts, by the way. Love it!
ReplyDeleteLove the "I Believe" quilt. I wonder if I have the pattern. I have several of Pat Sloan's patterns. My daughter would like the cardinal block.
