Stitching in Susie's World

I got my hands on the latest Simply Vintage magazine just before I left for quilt camp. I have been stitching up the blocks of a four part mystery by Bonnie Sullivan in the magazine. I'm always excited to see what will be happening in Susie's World--part three is in the new Autumn issue. 

Each month there have been two blocks. These are from parts one and two.

I love Bonnie's designs and a few weeks ago, the Simply Vintage blog had a challenge--
I was thrilled to be one of the three lucky winners of this beautiful Quiltmania book by Bonnie Sullivan direct from France!
I love the cover quilt, as well as several other wooly projects I may need to make....
more birds and cats--along with other adorable critters!

Later today I hope to get a face on this sweet kitty--the second block from part three.
I can't wait for the next issue and part four!

I recently lost/misplaced my spare camera battery, so I need to apologize for my photos taken at Quilt Camp. Wouldn't you know that my battery would start to go dead during our show and tell event??

As a result, some of my photos are very blurry and several were a total loss ;-(

Autumn Banner--just a little more stitching!

I am so far behind on my Stitching Society wool hexagons. The project for September was a banner/bell pull--I'm hoping to put the finishing touches on it today!

There was also an option to do the banner horizontally, but I have a little space in mind to hang this.
The top will be folded to make a pocket and I need to search for the perfect branch to use for hanging.

Today I will be adding some Big Stitch Quilting along the edges and around the hexies using a chenille needle and pearl cotton.
