End of an Almost Era?

It's been almost ten years since I did my first blog post (August 9 2012). I am told that if you subscribe to Moosebay Muses by email, the Feedburner platform is going away and you won't receive the latest post in your mailbox after June. I've made the difficult decision to stop blogging and not make the move to a new platform. I want to thank everyone that has followed the blog--I thank you from the very bottom of my heart! It has been wonderful meeting and conversing with other quilting enthusiasts and making new friends. I am still posting (occasionally!) on Instagram and hope you will look me up there--I am breezypointquilter

These are the last of the photos on my camera--I haven't completed anything in the  months since my previous post way back in January, but have started several--lol!

I'm still working on the log cabins and decided on this setting if I ever finish all of the blocks.

I needed a hand sewing project and decided to start Di Ford's Route 66 quilt. All of the rosettes are completed and the background hexie fabric has been prepped. The floral on the left will be my border, and the blue on the right is for the fussy cut diamonds that will create a path around rosettes.

You know how addicted I am to a sew along. I tried to stay true to my vow not to do anymore of them, but caved and started Barbara Brackman's Ladies Aid  block of the month. I've also started a primitive stitching project, but you will have to join me at Instagram to see those  photos.

Take care and love to all! Karen

  2. I have contemplated the same idea. Ten years is a long time to blog and it's good to weigh the pros and cons. I will follow you on IG! Your projects are lovely. (I too have succumbed to Ladies Aid, lol.)

  9. I am very sad to see you go but I understand. I will try to follow you on IG but I'm not very good with FB so I figure I'll be the same with IG. I will post the directive on how to have your Feedburner emailers receive your post through your blogger directly. I am procrastinating on the one and I really shouldn't. Okay, I'll work on it tonight. Take care. Keep stitching. ;^)

  10. Karen, I will support your decision and wish you the very best that life and creativity can offer. But at the same time I hope you end up taking a break and come back to blogging. You are so creative and have so much creativity and kindness to share. I hope you don't let Google's decision to kill Feedburner (a popular free tool to support email feeds of blog posts to followers). Many are switching from Feedburner to free Follow.IT and it appears to be a good free solution. I also have you listed on My Creative Blog List (http://mycreativebloglist.blogspot.com/), which I think many also use to follow a variety of blogs. Plus there are so many other sources (e.g. BlogLuvin, etc.). Again, while I respect your decision to stop blogging, I just simply want to say I hope it is a matter where taking a break would be good and then you would consider coming back to share. Again, you do such a great job sharing creative inspiration and kindness. You will be missed dearly, but I do so wish you all the happiness life can offer.

I am so thankful that I have one of your remarkable blocks for our Community Supper quilt! I will try to follow you in Instagram, but I am very new to this and will need some lessons. Enjoy your stitching and thanks for 10 years of fun!

  14. It was a grand run here :-) I have fallen off the blogging habit but haven't chosen to delete it yet. Too many distractions for me the past year and I haven't sewn since last fall. Then my sister was ill and I was her primary caretaker. She passed recently so eventually I may try to quilt to try and get myself back to life.
    I'll being seeing you on IG :-) I'm luckypup_quilter.

  18. I'm so sorry to hear that you're giving up blogging. The discontinuance of feedburner isn't the end for blogging because there are other ways to follow. I always read posts in feedly and have never had posts emailed to me, and I'm sure there are many others like me. I don't have an IG account and am not sure I want to add one more social media account.
Anyway, I wish you all the best. I've enjoyed your blog, your posts, and your creativity, Karen.

  22. After being in relationship with Wilson for seven years,he broke up with me, I did everything possible to bring him back but all was in vain, I wanted him back so much because of the love I have for him, I begged him with everything, I made promises but he refused. I explained my problem to someone online and she suggested that I should contact a spell caster that could help me cast a spell to bring him back but I am the type that don’t believed in spell, I had no choice than to try it, I meant a spell caster called Dr Zuma zuk and I email him, and he told me there was no problem that everything will be okay before three days, that my ex will return to me before three days, he cast the spell and surprisingly in the second day, it was around 4pm. My ex called me, I was so surprised, I answered the call and all he said was that he was so sorry for everything that happened, that he wanted me to return to him, that he loves me so much. I was so happy and went to him, that was how we started living together happily again. Since then, I have made promise that anybody I know that have a relationship problem, I would be of help to such person by referring him or her to the only real and powerful spell caster who helped me with my own problem and who is different from all the fake ones out there. Anybody could need the help of the spell caster, his email: spiritualherbalisthealing@gmail.com or WhatsApp him +15068001647 blog: spiritualherbal.blogspot.com you can email him if you need his assistance in your relationship or anything. 26. i am giving this testimony cos l am happy My name is Mrs. Santana Valdez from Houston, taxes.i never believed in love spells or magic until i met this spell caster once. when i went to Canada in June 28th 2021 this year on a business summit. i meet a man called Dr Zuma zuk.He is powerful he could help you cast a spells to bring back my love's gone, misbehaving lover looking for some one to love you, bring back lost money and magic money spell or spell for a good job. i'm now happy & a living testimony cos the man i had wanted to marry left me 3 weeks before our wedding and my life was upside down cos our relationship has been on for 2 years. i really loved him, but his mother was against me and he had no good paying job. so when i met this spell caster, i told him what happened and explained the situation of things to him.. at first i was undecided, skeptical and doubtful, but i just gave it a try. and in 6 days when i returned to taxes, my boyfriend (is now my husband ) he called me by himself and came to me apologizing that everything had been settled with his mom and family and he got a new job interview so we should get married..i didn't believe it cos the spell caster only asked for my name and my boyfriends name and all i wanted him to do. well we are happily married now and we are expecting our little kid, and my husband also got a new job and our lives became much better. in case anyone needs the spell caster for some help, email address spiritualherbalisthealing@gmail.com Great Zuma zuk i thank you very much thank you in 1000000 times.. if not you i would have been losted and wasted thank you. Email Him Through his email address... spiritualherbalisthealing@gmail.com please make sure you contact him for any financial difficulties okay...What a powerful man such as Dr Zuma zuk.. he is so much powerful..\\ email him for any difficulties.. spiritualherbalisthealing@gmail.com His whatsapp +15068001647
