This is a quick post--I'm not making a lot of progress on my December UFO, as well as the other projects on my Finish Along list, so I need to get stitchin'!!
I have Circa 2016 loaded on the HQ16 and have been procrastinating getting to work on the quilting.

I needed a new hand stitching project since I've finished all my wool applique projects, so I was forced to spend a couple days laying out my wool hexagons and sewing them together. Now I have a lot of stitching to work on today--another excuse not to work on Circa 2016--lol! Linking with Kathy for Slow Sunday Stitching HERE |
My goodness, that Twenty Ts block is incredible! Good work!
ReplyDeleteI really like what you have done with your "Let It Snow". Very clever of you!
How many hexagons are in that project? I remember watching the process of you making them, and I loved them, but I don't recall how many you made.
Your projects are always all so beautiful Karen and always make me want to go and sew! Hope you have had a lovely weekend! Christine x
ReplyDeleteThe top border of "Let it Snow" finishes it off perfectly. Nice job!
ReplyDeleteLoving how you have arranged the blocks in the Let It Snow project, along with the borders at the top!
ReplyDeleteI love your wooly hexies Karen! And really, did I just read 90 hst's in a 6" block? *90*?! Whoa, you rock! That's seriously impressive. It would have taken me a year! Looks fabulous too.
ReplyDeleteYou work wonders using blues. I see you are using blue thread to enhance your hexagon blocks too.
ReplyDelete90 HST's in one 6" block is crazy! Beautiful blocks! Let it snow is gorgeous and I love the wool hexies too. Lots of quilty inspiration in your post today!
ReplyDeleteThat big center block is pretty! I'm saving the clues for this quilt and hope to get to it next year.
ReplyDeleteWow! The blocks are all beautiful and I love your design additions to Let It Snow! Lovely work!
ReplyDeleteWowsers! Those 365 Challenge blocks are truly impressive! And good for you for keeping up, too! I've been saving all the daily blocks, but I ran out of steam last spring. (Someday I'll catch up!)
ReplyDeleteAnd I love your Let It Snow! (Another one that I've saved the patterns for. (Well, most of them, anyway. I think I missed a few...)) It's absolutely gorgeous!
Wow - love your work. All of the beautiful. I'm eyeing those hexagons as something I'd like to try - never sewn wool ones yet.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing.
I just love your photos... I biggie size all of them and get my nose up to the screen to enjoy all the details... Love Let It Snow!
ReplyDeleteENjoy your Circa quilting!
Wow. Two beauties almost finished. The Let It Snow is fantastic.
ReplyDeleteAnd I really love your wooly hexies. Did you dye them yourself? Is it a pattern or your own design?
I love your Let it Snow quilt. Is there any place one can purchase the pattern? I've tried contacting Milk Basins trying to get the pattern but there has been no reply from them. Any ideas.
ReplyDeleteSo many wonderful projects. That T block is mind blowing, but you did it! The feather stitching on your hexies is a fabulous finish. I like how you completed Let It Snow. It's the best border layout I've seen so far. You've moved a lot of projects forward. That's a good thing for December.
ReplyDeleteYou have chosen beautiful colours for your 365 Challenge. It's going to be fantastic! Kyle said it best -- mind blowing blocks! Love those hexagons, too. Lots of eye candy. :D Happy Holidays!
ReplyDeleteThese beautiful projects will keep you busy. Good luck with getting them finished.
ReplyDeleteI love how you are finishing your wool hexies!! It looks so good with the hand embroidery along the seam lines.Hugs, H in Healdsburg
