Something happened--this week disappeared!
I have had my nose buried in machine quilting, and I guess I'm making progress--but it's hard to tell!
Since I can't show my progress on that, this is something else I've been working on: I will be teaching a class for this coin purse at Colorz next Wednesday. It's the perfect size for all those quilt shop punch cards we accumulate.... or other special little treasures! |
I used French General fabrics--a linen blend on the outside and a cotton print for the lining. |
The linen fabric was embellished with embroidery before sewing the body of the coin purse, and part of the class will be learning to do the beading on the frame. I think it's going to be a fun class! Linking with My Quilt Infatuation HERE |
What a fabulous little coin purse! I wish I was close enough to come to the class! Have a lovely weekend! I'm off walking in the Lake District.... hope it doesn't rain! :) x
ReplyDeleteVery sweet little purse!
ReplyDeleteI love your little purse, especially the way you have embroidered the outside fabric. I wish I could teleport myself to your class!
ReplyDeleteYour little purse is delightful!
ReplyDeleteOhmygosh--that coin purse is just amazing--I have a very old one my Grandfather used to use everyday that is just holding together.. I find that the newer wallets don't have enough space it seems. The Fr. General fabrics are perfect for this! Lovely work as ever...hugs, Julierose
ReplyDeleteWow. That's so nice. I want to take the class. :)
ReplyDeleteI remember a time when most every lady carried little coin purses. I can remember my grand-father had a leather one he carried for his coins, Your coin purse is very pretty.
ReplyDeleteI love the way you have embellished the fabric before using it, such a clever touch.
