June One Monthly Goal

Since this has been hanging around on my design wall for a few weeks, I guess it's about time to get it quilted. Once I got the borders on, I immediately made the binding (cheddar, of course!) and pieced a back from stash pieces.
It's ready to be quilted!

After adding those wavy sashings, the top was a little dizzying so I am thinking of naming it Covid Chaos--lol!
This quilt will be my One Monthly Goal for June.

A little update on one of my applique projects:
These are the Afternoon Delight blocks completed in May. There won't be new applique blocks to work on this month, as those patterns were released in March at the start of isolation. Any progress on this project will have to be the pieced alternate blocks which I have neglected completely.

  1. beautiful quilt - I slowly started Afternoon Delight but haven't made progress on it in recent weeks - I have not started the applique - just doing it when I feel like it not on anyone else's schedule

  3. That sashing has so much movement and texture I thought it was already quilted. I adore that sashing! Your Afternoon Delight blocks are gorgeous. That is one of my favorite patterns of Sue's. So sweet.

  5. Hi Karen, caught up on your posts now. Always a treat to see what you are stitching and how you are quilting it too. I also get tips on how to put certain fabrics together. I too find dogs are hopeless at modelling...well Murphy certainly is.

The applique blocks are lovely. What a shame the lock down got in the way.

  13. I probably would have been like you in ignoring the pieced blocks for the Afternoon Delights. Is there no one working to post the next batch of blocks?

  14. Covid Chaos--perfect!! :) I do love it, even if you think it is Chaos.
Your Afternoon Delight blocks look so pretty--they have a softness to them, even with an occasional intense color.

  15. Love your Crossings quilt. I have not even been piecing, but have (yesterday) started cleaning out all that was inhabiting the space where I work on my quilts. I had not been feeling up to snuff for some time and am amazed at what I got done. Hopefully today I can get more of the sorting and cleaning done and be able to get back to my hobby!
