| There are three different log cabin variations in the quilt. I almost lost my way making the all light blocks but finally got the hang of it which made the all blue ones easier to make. |

| I decided to open the center of the middle star rather than making the solid blue star as in Edyta's quilt, but now I'm not sure if I like it this way. I also want to figure out something to make it a rectangle, so I still have a way to go before sewing the blocks together. |

| I'm moving on from needle felting gnomes to baby rabbits. The plan is to make a cabbage leaf for him to sleep in, but haven't figured out how to do it yet...more to come on that. I'm using the new Blogger on my laptop (no more phone posting for me) and had quite a struggle with the photos at first. I decided to take a lunch break and when I tried again it all worked perfectly--go figure. Hopefully it will be smooth sailing from now on! |

ReplyDeleteI love the bunny! My first thought was that he (she?) was laying in a microwaveable bowl holder. And then I thought the shape of what he/she is laying in is kind of cabbage-y looking. What if it was made out of Kaffe Fassett's cabbage print fabric? I don't know if it's still available, though. Maybe somewhere on line? Anyway, just a thought.

ReplyDeleteI finally switched over to the new Blogger as well. I haven't noticed any real big difference yet. I was able to make a post and pull in my pictures. So far I'm able to get comments as well so if there are troubles I'm unaware of them so far. I'm glad your struggles worked out. The bunny is very cute!
I'm upgrading my internet service this weekend to hopefully reduce the upload time with the new blogger system.

Of course, you had all those lovely blue pieces in a pile. The quilt top is beautiful. The little felted bunny is adorable. I push myself too, saying I can't do something until something else is done. I'm not sure if that takes some of the fun away, but I do get things done. So do you.

Doesn't Edyta make great videos...she makes even me feel like I could stitch those pretty designs. Your log cabin blocks are beautiful. How do you cut your pieces? That is where I'd have an issue right away. And what a gorgeous bunny!

Lovely blocks you are piling up in various forms for many quilts. Sometimes these inanimate objects (computers) can just be really irritable with their unwillingness to cooperate with us, that is when I shut them down and they go into time out. Later they may just behave!
