March is an easy month for the Cheddarback blocks. This is the twelve inch block. The rest are the five inch blocks: |
We've done this star earlier in an earlier grouping as well as this month. |
I did this one using the Magic Eight method X 2. |
A tiny bit of applique on this one. |
I used ticking instead of a shirting for this simple block. |
I've been distracted by another new project I started (!), but finally got around to prepping the March Afternoon Delight blocks. I'll be stitching these while I binge some things I have been hoarding on my DVR. I recently discovered Lark Rise to Candleford (not sure how I have never watched this series before) on the BYU channel and have to start clearing off episodes before I run out of room for new stuff! |
Really nice blocks--I like that first red/white with the pretty clear blue hugs, Julierose
ReplyDeleteLovely blocks all around Karen. I especially love the Afternoon Delight blocks. Wish I would make this one. One day ... maybe. I'm looking forward to see more of your little beauties. ;^)
ReplyDeleteThe Afternoon Delight blocks are screaming my name!
ReplyDeleteI have watched the Larkford to Candleford series several times. Love, love it. I sometimes turn it on at night when I am not able to sleep. I fall asleep watching it. I have it all memorized but still enjoy each episode.
More fabulous blocks. I love watching that series too. Love using ticking.
ReplyDeleteThose Afternoon Delight blocks are to die for! Just beautiful. I loved Lark Rise to Candleford!
ReplyDeleteOh, don't your blocks look fabulous, Karen! I love every single one of them. Where did you get the pattern for Afternoon Delight? Did Sue sell the pattern? (I didn't discover her blog until after she died and I'm so disappointed that she's not here to keep posting. She was an amazing quilter.)
ReplyDeleteHow did you discover Lark Rose on BYU TV? I haven't seen the series but have at least looked at the book, though maybe I read it, too.
Such beautiful blocks Karen! You always choose such lovely project and beautiful fabrics! Have a great week! Christine xx
ReplyDeleteGorgeous blocks. Love the Afternoon Delight blocks especially!
ReplyDeleteAll of your blocks look good, but two photos stand out to me. First, the ticking in the uneven 9-patch looks great, and then those Afternoon Delight blocks are really eye-catching!
ReplyDeleteOh, Lark Rise to Candleford is a favorite. I have read the book, too. The show is loosely based on the book, but they are each wonderful in their own way. And my son works for BYU channel!
Afternoon Delight is such a temptation. Those blocks are wonderful. Stay well!
ReplyDeleteGreat blog post thanks for sharing.
