My May Goal....

Even though I accomplished a lot last month, I was a little disappointed that I didn't get all of my blue and white UFO's completed.
So, my orange peel top will be my One Monthly Goal for May. It will be a while before I get started because I have no ideas yet on how to quilt this one. I  have a lot of pondering ahead!

Just for fun, a group of us took our finished On Ringo Lake quilts to the actual Ringo Lake (where Bonnie Hunter was inspired to create the pattern). Ringo Lake is nearby Green Lake where our retreat takes place.
Sharyn's quilt isn't quite finished, but I know it will be eventually--lol!

  1. How to quilt? Always one of the hardest hurdles for me in finishing a project. I wish you luck with your decision. It will be a beauty!

  8. LOL love your Ringo Lake quilts on site, great photo! The orange peel is not what I expected, but I love it. Is it pieced like a wedding ring or appliqued down?

I didn't know Ringo Lake was an actual lake...interesting.

  10. Sometimes I think choosing the quilting pattern can be one of the hardest parts of finishing a quilt. And as a machine quilter, the options are probably even greater than if you were a hand quilter. No matter how you choose to quilt it I know it will look wonderful, Karen. Good luck with your goal for May!

  12. I didn't know that Ringo Lake was a real place. Good idea to take a quilt by that name there for photography.
