Lucky Duck Giveaway

I was the very lucky recipient of a big box of patterns from Pam Buda.
If you haven't seen the tour of her lovely home in the latest American Patchwork and Quilting magazine, you can see some of it HERE.

In the box were zillions dozens of Pam Buda patterns-including packets of Journey's One through Five Prairie Women's Sewing Circle  patterns! I don't think I need to worry about finding something to sew this winter.
Okay, I wasn't really worried, but I have a lot more options--ha-ha!

I know this will be my first project--the little blue houses from Journey Four--can't resist those!
Pam is also having a little Pocket Patchwork Sew Along called Tucker.
You can read about it HERE.
I've decided to sew along since the only thing I needed to cut were the 8 rectangles-- I can't resist using up some of the stash!

I had already purchased the Tokens of the Past pattern a while back, It features small quilts using her Marcus fabric line Gathering in Red (I had planned to make them blues from my stash--naturally! I'm a blue girl!). In a small attempt to "pay it forward", I will pass this lovely pattern on. Comment on this post--I'll choose a name late next week when I'm back from retreat and send it off to the next lucky duck!
I finished up my Buttermilk Basin block for October last night, so I am anxiously awaiting what comes in November.

  2. That looks like a great pattern to be passing on. Maybe it will be my lucky day when you draw a name. Cool little October block.

  10. Congratulations on winning Pam's beautiful patterns. I am also doing Tucker and have done most if not all of her sew a longs in the past. The quilts have been lovely. Thank you for this very generous offer. I guess we all must like the same things as I am also doing the Buttermilk Basin one too. I enjoy your blog by the way, keeps me inspired.

  12. Congrats on the awesome giveaway! I just stumbled across Pam's Tucker and I might join along too. Sadly I don't have 100 little squares cut so I've got some cutting to do!

  15. You are indeed a Lucky Duck! (I hope your luck rubs off on me!)
Tucker looks really inviting - and I wouldn't have to work too hard to start since I've got tons of 1.5" squares already cut out. I think I've already got the HSTs on hand, too... hmm...
Oh, goody. Another project. Thanks, I think.

  23. Karen,
Either you enter a lot or you are the luckiest person on earth. Do you play the lottery?

  24. You are a lucky little duckie! I like the blue houses pattern you plan on making next; it has such an interesting border. Those Tokens of the Past quilts are really lovely. They would be great as they are or used as medallions to make a bed size quilt! Thanks for the opportunity to win!

  25. You are one lucky girl and I love what you share on your blog! I'm playing "sew all my WIP's" so I try not to get on the internet too much. I get the outside gardening too but today it's rainy... so happy I can sew all day!
