October UFO Finish and a Little Slow Sunday Stitching

I've been a terrible blogger this month--surgery and two retreats--that's my excuse!
My October One Monthly Goal is finally done. Whew!  Again, I was quilting and binding it at the end of the month and wasn't sure I would make it in time--seems to be a hab
it of mine.

My UFO for October (Temecula Quilt Company's Marvelous Mini Monday) was the result of a Sew Along, and I have been sucked into another one. Actually, I have no self control when it comes to a SAL. it seems! This one is on the  Quilts by Cheri Friendship Group.

My background is blue homespun bordered by Grunge.
That's as far as I got before leaving for my second retreat.
I'm going to have to get a little more done for Monday's progress report.

In the meantime, I will be doing some Slow Sunday Stitching on my Mrs. Billings outer border. I may get this project done yet.........!

  7. Well done on your finish. I think surgery is a very good excuse for not meeting a deadline.
I think the Cherie SAL looks like fun and I like your choice of background.

  8. Karen, I love your fussy cut hexies for Mrs. Billings. Your fabric choices suit that quilt just perfectly. I too cave when it comes to SALs. My last excuse for joining in was that I already owned the pattern, so how could I not join.....
