It's a Mystery!

There's not much going one here on Moose Bay.
I've been cutting my "peaky and spike" units for Bonnie Hunter's Celtic Solstice Mystery quilt.

I've changed the colors to use up my Christmas fabric stash, so I've been seeing a lot of red. In fact, I had to raid my batik stash to get a little more variety. Since there are 380 of these units, I've really made a dent in my basket of holiday fabrics!
I'm using red instead of blue (I know...go figure!) and tan is subbing for orange.

Sets ready to go to the machine.

Stacks of ten--80 finished--only 300 to go!!

  1. luv your colors. Haven't been able to start yet but hope to in the next few days. After looking at my over flowing Christmas fabric bins I have planned on using those.

  2. I really like your colors. I am tempted by them, I'm not a fan of the colors Bonnie is using but I've seen some good color combos being shared. Think yours are my favorite so far!

  6. Oh gosh 380 to make, what patience you must have to even think about cutting out that many, I'm looking forward to seeing this mystery grow. Cheers Glenda

  8. Your colours look great. I was going to print out the instructions for the future use, but when I saw templates or special rulers I decided not to. Just not my thing. I can't wait to see everyone else's finished tops. I like how you've gone with red.
